An unlikely item that you can come across in the Nintendo gaming industry, is that of the Wide-Boy 64. This Wide-Boy 64 unit was an expansion for the Nintendo 64 and was similar in fashion to the Game Boy Player. This expansion would allow developers as well as the video game industry media to capture screenshots of the Game Boy Color games through the use of the television screen. This was in no way shape or form, a consumer-based product. This unit is for developers and magazines only and cost a whopping $1400 each. When you used this expansion, you would see on the screen of the television, a template that would mimic the appearance of the various portable, Nintendo gaming handhelds.
This unit is an extremely rare item to come across since it was not developed for the consumer and available for purchase only to magazines and developers.
