Saturn
In 1995, the Sega Saturn, a 32 bit gaming console, was released in both North American and Europe. It was a surprise attack launch for the new Sega system in order to beat Sony into the 32 bit revolution. But the game developers were not happy as they would be unable to make their games available in time for the launch date and with only 1 game available the Sega Saturn soon ran into problems.
Because of their early launch into the 32 bit era, many distributors had gotten angry at Sega and so there were many issues with distribution of not just the Sega Saturn but the next generation of Sega, the Dreamcast as well felt the tremor of disappointment by the North American retailers.
The Sega Saturn soon fell through the cracks and became known as "the other system" and so within 2 years, the developers too had dropped the Sega Saturn system from their databases and refused to produce anymore games on the particular Sega system.
