TeraDrive
With the help of IBM, Sega was able to release the TeraDrive, which was a 16-bit PC that had an integrated Mega Drive. The TeraDrive was only released in Japan, as it proved to become a very unpopular Gaming system. Sega's TeraDrive allowed you to play the Mega Drive games while at the same time utilising the PC section, since the Mega Drive and PC hardware were designed to interact.
The TeraDrive also included IBM's drivers which were bundled on a floppy disk and when utilised you were able to use DOS based software on the Sega Genesis internal hardware.
The Sega TeraDrive was speculated as being a gaming development machine which could be used to create as well as test games being developed for the Sega gaming systems.
